Avondale Boat Yard, situated in Westerly, Rhode Island, has been a cornerstone of the boating community since its establishment in 1946. Founded by John and Mary Ann Hall, who acquired a modest boatyard on the Pawcatuck River, the yard swiftly gained a reputation for its commitment to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

Initially focused on crafting and repairing small fishing vessels and pleasure boats, the yard evolved over time to encompass a broader array of services. Under the stewardship of John and Mary Ann’s son, Frank, who joined the enterprise in 1970, Avondale Boat Yard flourished, expanding its offerings to include winter storage, fuel sales, and marine supplies.

Today, Avondale Boat Yard stands as a comprehensive facility boasting an impressive range of capabilities. With 96 slips and 3 moorings, along with indoor and outdoor winter storage options, it caters to diverse boating needs. The fuel dock provides gasoline, diesel fuel, water, and pump-out services, ensuring convenience for sailors. Additionally, a seasoned team of mechanics adeptly tends to boats of all makes and models.
